All in the Family
Julius has had a long, successful career with Fresenius. He started as a Facility Technician in 2003 and today he is a Facility Administrator for the Mission Gorge clinic. But he’s not the only person in his family who works at Fresenius. His sister recruited him and then Julius recruited his brother. What makes Fresenius Medical Care a place where these siblings want to pursue their careers?
“One of the great things about this company is that you can get recognized for your good work. Promotions are wide open for everyone. My sister is still with Fresenius Medical Care and she’s a PCT III now. I have a brother I recruited, too, and he became an Area Team Lead (ATL). If you’re capable of the job and you do your part, you’re welcome to it,”
What Inspires you to work here?

“I am proud to be FME because I have been a part of this family for a long time--my career started in Jersey City in 1987. I love communicating with my patients and being able to help them in ways that others may not be able to.”

Caring for each Other and our communities
The CARES Fund was established to provide financial assistance to Fresenius Medical Care employees facing unforeseen hardships. With donations driven by employees to help each other in need, the CARES Fund has assisted thousands of employees since its creation almost 20 years ago. Contributions to the CARES Fund can be made through the Fresenius Medical Care Foundation.
In the past three years alone, more than 60 employees in need in California have received more than $120,000 in support from the CARES Fund – thanks in large part to the generosity of Fresenius Medical Care employees.

In September 2023, Jose, a PCP at California’s Imperial County clinic, and his wife Alexandrea, a tutor, were busy taking care of their three young girls and awaiting the arrival of their fourth child, due in January. That all changed unexpectedly when Alexandrea’s water broke, and the couple needed to urgently find specialized care for Alexandrea and their unborn baby.
Learn how the CARES Fund helped Jose while he and his family stayed in San Diego so that his wife and newborn son could receive the cared they needed.
